The Boston Chess Club is an instructional chess program. We teach in elementary, middle and high schools as well as adult education and community centers. We offer our services throughout the Metro Boston region. Besides private and classroom instruction, we also organize rated and unrated chess events in addition to simultaneous exhibitions and blindfold chess demonstrations for both instruction and entertainment. We provide all the materials including chess sets, boards, and clocks. Various locations we service include: parks, libraries, community centers, restaurants, and even train stations (!). We are also available for private one-on-one lessons online, in your own home, or in public places like libraries or cafes (including the Checkmate Cafe in Roslindale!).
JUL. 30, 2016 Factory Hill Park
Factory Hill Park, at the intersection of Town Street and Charles Street in Hyde Park, is located on top of a hill in a nice quiet neighborhood. Four stone chess tables in pretty good shape are surrounded by shady trees near a garden. It provides an idyllic location for casual play. Chess sets and boards will be provided. There is plenty of on-street parking. We will be there from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
